Prisca and me sitted on October 04, 2005

I will tell you the history of a small African girl. Although this history which proceeds in Ivory Coast, it resembles that of thousands of other African children who live in zones of wars.
Some time, the history of these children is much more serious than that of which I was an actor. Here illustrated by photographs history of the small girl sitting beside me. She is called Prisca.

Miss Atté, my partner who occupied of Prisca

This history knew a happy end thanks to the assistance of people of very goodwills that you will discover throughout the history. The first nobody that I present to you is this injury. It is called ATTE DeFin Six. She is a friend with me whose part which it played in this business was very advantageous and very constructive for a happy end of the life of small Prisca. I sincerely make a point of testifying all my recognition to him. Thank you Nicole for all that you did for Prisca.

Here is the history:
In April 2005, my activities oblige me to go in the south-west of Ivory Coast. In a city called Sassandra and a village called Grand-Drewin. This area is not very far away from the zone of conflict of which Ivory Coast undergoes the harmful effects since September 19, 2002.
One morning, I meet on my passage a small girl with a plate in hand, beggar of food to eat.
At first sight, it acts of a one year old young girl to the maximum.
I get information about it and one teaches me that she is 4 years old and that her mother came from the zone of conflict with her to give it to her father. A workman of the corner. Her father remakes his life with another woman who is also a worker.
Each morning, the small girl is abandoned with it even in the village.
To survive, she passes from house in house to find what to eat. The physical and mental state of the young girl upset me so much so that this day there, I did not go to my place of work. I recovered it to feed it and understand more the drama it lived. This day there, I took photographs of it for immortaliser this first meeting.

Prisca on the door of the room

Prisca returns in the room to take its breakfast

Prisca has its breakfast before the departure for the field

Not having sufficient financial means, the breakfast of Prisca is composed of slice of bread containing corn and dried milk diluted in tepid water

Prisca and I in departure on the site of work

As every days, I take Prisca in my arms to go with her on my site of work. Not having a babysitter to take care on it

Resting Prisca while I work

On the building site, while I work to leave the rails ground with my collaborators, Prisca rests not far from there

Prisca in departure at the place where I make the kitchen at the field

Still very weakened by the hard moments of malnutrition, it still has a little force to go

Prisca seen of back going towards the place of preparation of food

Sight of back, any being human can only test pity for this kid delivered to it even. All the clothes that it had and which its of its age floats to him.

Prisca waiting the hour to eat

Prisca eating the food until it waited

After hard waiting during which I made the kitchen, Prisca is finally been useful. It eats to appease its hunger

Under the cocoa trees, in the shade and puffed up by a fresh wind, Prisca rests.
